MoviePass has had an extremely difficult 2018, accentuated by its delisting from the Nasdaq index after a fraudulent quarterly statement that inflated its numbers. This may have rushed its former executive’s departure.

The exit was revealed in its latest quarterly filing and is effective on March 22.

Stuart Benson served as Helios and Matheson CFO since 2016. The company, which operates out of New York, stated that it’s now looking for an appropriate candidate to fill in the role.
